DES MOINES, IA,— The Texas Legends grabbed a big win over the Iowa Energy Sunday night 106-84 to remain undefeated on the road.
The first half stayed close with four lead changes, but the Legends went into halftime holding a 6-point advantage. Coming out of the locker room, the Legends went on a 13-5 run to gain momentum. While the Energy kept the deficit to 14 before the buzzer, the Legends began the fourth with a bang, striking a 12-0 rampage and grabbing a 31-point lead for the largest gap of the night. Iowa ran out of time while attempting a comeback, giving the Legends a 22-point victory. The Legends shot 50% on the night, 42% from outside, and out-rebounded the Energy 47-36.
Six Legends players added double-digits. Renaldo Balkman led all scorers with 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Damion James added another double-double of 15 points, 16 rebounds.
Jordan Adams came off the bench to add 20 points, 8 rebounds for the Energy and Diante Garrett tallied 18 points, 9 rebounds.
