Denver Nuggets Overall Record 6-11
The Nuggets dropped three straight games with losses to the Clippers, Spurs and Mavericks. The Nuggets have been a Jekyll and Hyde team since the season started. Honestly speaking, the team begins to play selfish when they fall behind. You can tell by the one pass one shot theory the guys adapt to when the opposing team get on a run. Basketball is a game of runs and the Nuggets have to play tougher on the defensive end. Panicking allows the opposing teams to break down the game plan of the Nuggets. Here’s the weekly recap.

November 24 – Clippers 111 – Nuggets 94 – Loss
Chris Paul showed Emmanuel Mudiay how to play the point guard position. Chris Paul distributes the ball to his teammates in their comfort zone. Mudiay passes the ball when he’s in trouble. Chris Paul is fearless on defense which allows him to get open floor steals that allows easy transition buckets for Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan to finish on the breaks. Danilo Gallinari finished with 20 points, 18 rebounds and 3 assists. Nikola Jovic and Darrell Arthur finished with 16 and 11 points respectively.

November 27 – Spurs 91 – Nuggets 80 – Loss
It was a pleasure watching how the Nuggets fought back from a 14 point deficit in the latter part of the game to get the final score as close as it was. Will Barton plays like he wants to win. Bad shooting and horrible fouls stopped every run Denver started. Jameer Nelson came off the bench and added 12 points and 2 assists. Danilo Gallinari played 36 minutes in the game with only a four minute rest. The Nuggets should look at making some trades and get more help off the bench. Heavy minutes will cost them deep into the season. This two game losing spree will began to take a toll on this team. I can see it in their demeanor during timeouts.

November 28 – Mavericks 92 – Nuggets 81 – Loss
I can remember working with Darrell “Slim Shady” Arthur at Beckley-Saner gym in Dallas. It was good to see him come home and play against his home town team. I can remember working with him on his mid-range pick and pop set up. Saturday night he played a really good game against Dirk Nowitzki and ZaZa Pachulia at the AAC.. However Dallas was too strong on the boards. Darrell Arthur finished with a team leading 16 points and 5 rebounds. The Mavericks are an experienced team with veterans that understand the situational aspect of winning. The Nuggets have a tough road schedule this week with what should be an easy win at the end of the week.
