The Baylor Bears’ concluded Thursday with a 60-59 loss to Georgia State in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. Baylor was led by Taurean Prince’s 18 points and 15 rebounds. However, two free throws by forward Rico Gathers were the last points scored by the Bears as Baylor could not overcome 21 turnovers, their most since November 2011.
The Panthers closed the game on a 13-0 run in the final 2 and ½ minutes highlighted by a layup and the game-winning three point basket with 2.7 seconds remaining by R.J. Hunter, the son of coach Ron Hunter.
