Last week we saw how the Buffs changed the offensive line and got results from the otherwise stalled run game and didn’t give up a sack in their win against Colorado State. This week should be a fairly easy game against Nicholls. I remember saying that the Hawaii game was a gimme victory and look how that turned out! The Buffs should win this one by three touchdowns, that’s what’s being said on paper but we know that means nothing in college football. Here are my keys to victory.

Offense
Establishing the run is very important in this game. Donovan Lee was starting at the slot receiver but moving him to running back is an awesome change. He was a back before he was moved to the slot. Why ask why? The running game is struggling because of the injuries to the two guys playing in from of him. CU head coach Mike MacIntyre said, “He played running back in high school, he knows it, he’s played some running back here for us in practice at different times.” A true freshman from West Hills, Calif., the 5-foot-9, 170-pound Lee rushed for 1,979 yards and 37 touchdowns as a senior in high school. So, shifting him to running back will help the offense.

Defense
Nicholls State offense running game will be wide open. Michael Henry has the task of running against a stingy Buffs defensive line. He’s averaging 77 yards per game with an average of 5.1 per carry. Terry Lucas Jr. And C. J Bates lead the wide out core. Tusakani Figaro is the leader at QB. This offense hasn’t put up big numbers but the team can wake up at anytime. If they take this team lightly, the Buffs will be in trouble!

Prediction
The Buffaloes should pull this game out in the first half. You have to remember Nicholls has nothing to lose. But, I’m going with the Buffs to win big! Final score 35-9 Colorado moves to 3-1!
