Folsom Field – Boulder, Colorado

Who would have thought that Oregon would be 2-2 or Colorado would be 3-1? Last week Oregon got blasted by Utah giving up 62 points. While the Buffs smashed Nicholls State by 24 points. This game will be very interesting because of the games played by both teams last week. Is this a desperation game between the two? Will the Ducks bounce back by making the Buffs the sacrificial lamb on their way back to saving their season? Let’s see how this plays out! One of the main gifts to the game is seeing what the Ducks will be wearing for the game.

Defense
The Buffaloes have to slow down the Ducks rushing attack. The defensive line has been playing lights out on all three levels (D-line, linebackers and secondary). Ducks coach Mark Helfrich said, “We have to get focused and last week was just a fluke!” “We have to be tight in all phases of the game”, he said rocking in his office chair. “Our offense will get back to its wide open attack and will spare no rod on opposing defenses”. The Buffaloes have to be worried about the wounded Ducks because they mean business! Byron Marshall is out for Oregon so the deep threat is hampered.

Offense
Freshman Isaac Miller is the key to the running attack. He’s a good run blocker and pass protector. This kid has shown the country that he will be a top NFL lineman for years to come. Now, the O-line should be fine overall because they are working as a cohesive unit. Coach Jim Leavitt the long shot investment from Florida has been working out his plan. His vision, plus new coaches and winning pledge has made a big change for the Buffs. QB Sefo Liufau has become a better leader on offense. Changing up the line gave him a new life.

My Prediction: This will be a close game because of the Buffs new look offense and Oregon’s struggling defense. I believe the Buffs will pull this one off by the score of 42-40!
