And they are here at the American Airlines Center this Friday, performing at 7 p.m. And although it’s a big arena, you better get your tickets now! www.americanairlinescenter.com
Harry Connick, Jr.: He’s good looking, has an amazing voice and basically everyone’s mother has a crush on him (or at least ours does!). Harry Connick, Jr. and his charming ways are back in Dallas for one night of soft and peaceful singing and smiling. He’ll get you crying and he’ll get you laughing, the only thing he can’t do is seem to have a bad time. So be there at 8 p.m. for this great performance where he’ll sing straight to you about “The Way You Look Tonight.” www.attpac.org
Asador Farm to Fire Dinner: Asador is a great place to grab a bite to eat, there, we said it. But you better make sure you’re there at the last “farm to fire” dinner they’ll have this year. The dinner will be locally sourced and paired with delicious wines to make a fantastic blend of flavors. So call now and reserve your seats, and be sure to ask for a great meal when you do! www.asadorrestaurant.com
Saturday November 16th
Connecticut Huskies vs SMU Mustangs: SMU had a tough loss again this past weekend against Cincinnati, but they are back at Ford Stadium this Saturday to show off their skills for their home crowd. The game against Connecticut will kick off at 2 p.m. Right now the Mustangs sit 2-2 in their conference and hope this game will increase their winning stats. It looks like the Mustangs have a good shot against the 0-8 Huskies, but the Mustangs won’t underestimate the Huskies losing record. www.smumustangs.com
P!NK: She’s got a unique style, powerful songs and that notable pink hair, and she sure doesn’t care what people think about her. P!NK is here at the American Airlines Center this Saturday and this will be close to, if not, a sold out crowd. Opening for her on The Truth About Love tour will be The Kin, a fun rock and pop band. She’s sure to be entertaining and always theatrical, so get those seats before you’re stuck at home. www.americanairlinescenter.com
Chili Beer Cook Off: There are plenty of places celebrating North Texas Beer Week, and the great people at Dallas Beer Kitchen are one of the many. They are hosting a chili beer cook off, and you’ll need to be there to decide the grand winner. They will prepare 4 oz. bowls of chili that will need to be perfectly paired with a 4 oz. brew along side cornbread and the winning chili will go on their winter menu. So get there and let your voice be heard! www.dallasbeerkitchengreenville.com
Nick Offerman: House of Blues in Dallas is known for hosting some pretty unforgettable shows, and this Saturday they’ll be home to Nick Offerman and his laughing fans. Many know him as his famous role as Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec, but he’s here in person to make you laugh and wonder about the questions of life. Always giving a great performance, Offerman will have you laughing all night, so get your tickets fast for this knee-slapping event. www.offermanwoodshop.com

Meat Fight: It’s every carnivores dream land, home to dozens of Dallas’ best chefs preparing their best meat…all for you! There will be four categories: brisket, pork rims, sausage and a wild card, and you’ll get to try it all. And the fighters will be judged by the best pitmasters in Texas, although you’ll be able to judge for yourself. And all this meat eating and beer drinking goes to a great cause, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, which they raised $20,000 for last year. So come join in on all the fun and help to beat last years fundraising. www.meatfight.com
