Stephen F. Austin reign as an NCAA Cinderella ended with a 57-50 defeat by the Utah Utes. Ty Charles led the Lumberjacks (29-5) with 14 points as the Southland Conference champions were held under their 79.5 per game average. The Lumberjacks made a late push to cut the deficit to single digits after Utah had built a 12 point lead.
Jakob Poeltl led the Utes (25-8) with 18 points as Delon Wright added 11 points and Jordan Loveridge had 12 points to distribute the scoring load.
