Its week 7 of the USFL season. I enjoy watching these young guys get a chance of living out their dreams of playing pro football. The season is whining down and everyone team is gearing for playoff spots. Michigan is a decent team on paper but hasn’t won the tough games in the 4th quarter. Philadelphia is a team that’s on the verge of getting over the hump. Let’s take a look at this week’s Blitzweekly’s USFL’s game of the week.

Michigan Panthers
The Panthers offense is led by quarterback Josh Love. Love numbers won’t blow you away, he has 616 passing yards and 2 passing touchdowns His leadership is what you can’t see on paper. His positive attitude is carried over throughout the offense. Running back Stevie Scott III has 3 rushing touchdowns this season the bulk of carries in the running game is on the shoulders of Reggie Corbin he has 516 yards on the ground. The best player on the team is kicker Cole Murphy. He is the reigning special team’s player of the week. He has won the award 2 weeks straight with field goals of 60 yards are better.

Philadelphia Stars
The Stars has their hands full this week. They have a list of offensive weapons that’s on the injury list. Quarterback Bryan Scott, RB Darnell Holland, OL Gunner Vogel, OL Jackson Scott-Brown and OL Jahair Jones are all out this week. The running game will struggle when those offensive linemen are missing. Quarterback Case Cookus will indeed get his shot at stretching the field this week. He needs to get the ball into the hands of his playmakers. TE Bug Howard will be the x factor for the offense this week.

Prediction
The game will set the stage for the playoffs. On June 4, 2022, the Birmingham Stallions clinched the South Division and will be the top position in the playoffs. The Stars has a chance to sneak in as well. The Panthers are looking to play spoilers and knock the Stars out of the playoffs. I’m taking the Stars by 6.

Final Score
Stars – 19
Panthers – 13
