Nestled at the entrance of Galleria Dallas is a “Class-chic” example of the modern dining experience. Townhouse Kitchen + Bar emits a McKinney Ave. feel and energy without the parking problem. The place has a casual yet warm and inviting styling to it making it easy to get comfortable and truly be able to enjoy your meal in a cozy atmosphere.
ATMOSHPERE
Townhouse has a very contemporary feel to it, but uses Earth tones to nurture the inviting energy. Every picture on the wall and fixture has been carefully picked to make you feel more at ease with your soundings. For those of you looking for the “bar” part of the Kitchen + Bar, they have one equipped with eight big screens to satisfy the sports junkie in all of us. They also have a plethora of local and imported craft beer to help drown your sorrow after your team chokes in the 9th inning. Also, remember to dress nice (business casual will do) this is not Twin Peaks.
FOOD
The dishes that I would recommend would be the Sesame Crusted Tuna (it was delightful and was seasoned just right), the fire grilled Bacon Wrapped Gulf Shrimp (the grilled taste makes this dish really come alive), and the Pecan Pork Chop (try and tell me it isn’t great…I dare you). I was less impressed with the Mac & Cheese with apple wood bacon; it came out tasting a bit too close to Velveeta. The BBQ Duck Quesadilla was bold and flavorful and definitely an appetizer worth ordering.
SERVICE
The dining experience here was great not simply because of the food but also because of the care that the staff provided. Our waiter was knowledgeable and was able to make spot on recommendations for everyone at the table. Their presence enhanced our meal and made the evening as a whole much more enjoyable.
BLITZ-WORTHY
The casually upscale atmosphere and familiar food selection delivered in a different way is what makes Townhouse Kitchen + Bar truly Blitz-Worthy. It’s not overpriced making it a good way to turbocharge your daily routine by stepping outside of your normal bar & grill. Nothing about this place is impulsive; from the décor to your plate every move was pondered then mastered. They want you to step inside, sit down, feel comfortable, and enjoy your meal – mission accomplished.
