Dallas Native Nick Jonas was the latest artist to perform at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas for a Hilton @Play exclusive concert. The private performance was on Wednesday, April 22 as part of the hotel’s entertainment campaign Hilton@Play series, which partners with Live Nation to provide free exclusive concerts for Hilton HHonors reward members. Nick’s private set is the second in the series after rock band Paramore took the Hilton stage in February.

Jonas performed 11 songs from his second studio album Nick Jonas. The songs performed were “Chains”, “Wilderness”, “Closer”, “I Want You”, “Numb”, “Santa Barbara”, “Push”, “Teacher”, “Warning”, “Take Over” and of course “Jealous”, his highest charted single in the United States to date. Reaching number 7 on US Billboards Hot 100.

He also performed “Roses” by Outkast, the only song on his lineup that was not his, prompting the crowd to “get down”. The show lasted about an hour beginning at 8:15 pm CT. Just enough time for Nick to charm and serenade the crowd with his voice and sense of humor. Jonas’ set was not just available to Hilton’s reward members in person but also via Twitters live streaming app Periscope. Where followers could get virtual front row seats to the exclusive concert.

Hilton streamed the show through their Hilton HHonors twitter account to all 102k followers. Jonas fans could view the performance by following @HiltonHHonors on Twitter and by downloading the Periscope app on their phone or tablet.

Periscope notifies followers once the live stream starts and allows them to join in and comment in real time. It also allows followers to re watch the performance once the live feed is over.

The “Jealous” singer also tweeted to his 9.43M followers to check out his Periscope Live streaming performance.

It was the first time an entire live performance was broadcasted on Twitter and Periscope.

Nick was already in the DFW area for the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards at AT&T stadium, Sunday April 19th where he also performed. He shared the ACM awards stage with country duo Dan+Shay performing a mashup of “Chains and Jealous”.
