Mavericks Continue To Struggle With Season Ending

Dallas went 1-3 in their last four games. By now, it looks as if the team is tanked. Playoff hopes are gone and the team seems to be a bit disoriented. The season is reaching it’s conclusion and Dallas isn’t finishing in a very positive way.

Let’s take a look at the Mavericks performance
Vs New Orleans (on the road): Dallas came up short, losing 121-118. This loss increased Dallas’ losing streak to three. Dirk Nowitzki scored a team-high of 23 points. Harrison Barnes scored 19, Curry 18, Wesley Matthews 10, and Nerlens Noel 7. Yogi Ferrell scored 15 points off the bench. Dallas made 48 percent of their FGs and 52 percent of their three-point shots. They collected a total of 45 rebounds, and had a total of 25 assists. Dallas forced 14 turnovers, scoring 12 points off those turnovers.

Vs Memphis (on the road): Dallas came up short again and lost 99-90. The loss increased Dallas’ losing streak to four games. Nowitzki and Matthews both scored a team-high of 13 points. Curry scored 12, Noel 10, and Barnes eight. Off the bench, J.J. Barea scored 13 points and Devin Harris 10. Dallas made 38 percent of their FGs and 35 percent of their three-point shots. A disastrous offensive performance, though it’s amazing how they weren’t blown out. Team collected a total of 43 rebounds and 15 assists. Dallas also forced six turnovers, scoring 11 points off those turnovers.

Vs Milwaukee (on the road): Dallas won 109-105, thus snapping their four-game losing streak. Barnes scored a team-high of 31 points. Nowitzki scored 17, Ferrell 13, and Matthews 8. Barea scored 17 points off the bench. Dallas made 52 percent of their FGs and 39 percent of their three-point shots. Dallas forced a total of 15 turnovers, scoring 19 points off those turnovers. They also collected 35 rebounds and 25 assists.

Vs Sacramento (on the road): Dallas lost 98-87. Nicolas Brussino led the team with 13 points. Barnes and Dwight Powell scored 11 points each. Noel 9 and Ferrell 7. Barea scored 9 points off the bench. Dallas made 40 percent of their FGs and 28 percent of their three-point shots. Dallas forced 19 points and scored 20 points off those turnovers.

Tonight, the Mavericks take on the Clippers. They’ve got five games left in this season. Though the way things have gone lately, it doesn’t look like the season will conclude with wins. However, we’ll just have to wait and see.
