Greg Hardy has agreed to a one-year, $11.3 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Greg Hardy has spent the previous five seasons with the Carolina Panthers, but only played one game in 2014 due to a domestic abuse case involving his girlfriend.

Hardy, 26, led the Panthers in sacks in 2013, was named to the Pro Bowl that year. Carolina franchised Hardy in February 2014, but was arrested in May and was charged with assaulting his girlfriend, Nicole Holder. The charges ended up being dropped in February, but Greg Hardy can still face punishment from the NFL.

The Cowboys have lost linebackers Bruce Carter and Justin Durant in Free Agency. but the addition of Greg Hardy adds talent to the defense, fills in the need of a pass-rusher, and will be a big help to the Cowboys defense which has struggled recording sacks over the last two seasons.
