TOP FIVE AT EACH POSITION (My Opinion)

QBs:

1 CLEM DeShaun Watson – Performer. Has underappreciated passing skills. The Best QB here.
2 ND DeShone Kizer – Upside, Upside! Has those Classic Measurables. Sit and Wait, Worth it.
3 MIAMI Brad Kaaya – Favorite QB in class. Pro-ready. Great everything. Garappolo starter kit.
4 UNC Mitch Trubisky – Some like him, some don’t. One year starter. Solid footwork & arm.
5 TENN Josh Dobbs – Very good athlete, smarter than that still. Could be a down the line Gem

RBs:

1 LSU Leonard Fournette – Strong runner W/ surprising speed. Hands? Has the frame for NFL.
2 FSU Dalvin Cook – Great dual-threat. Great vision. Great in space. Maybe needs a 2nd back.
3 STAN Christian McCaffrey – Has the film to show he can be workhorse. Mr. Everything.
4 USF Marlon Mack – Secret of this class. Mack is a truck, he’s going to make a GM look genius
5 TEX D’Onta Freeman – Could be a great 3rd down back. One year producer. Good eyes.

WRs:

1 CLEM Mike Williams – We’ve all witnessed what he can do. Great size. Winner on the outside
2 WMU Corey Davis – A brawler on the outside. Frame for matchups. Not fast though.
3 ECU Zay Jones – Great football player, epic production. Marginal size, router to break away.
4 UW John Ross – BURNER. Solid routes, undersized. Boom or bust potential, big time.
5 OU DeDe Westbrook – Epic athlete, good size, really light. HR hitter for sure.

TEs:

1 BAMA O.J. Howard – Unreal speed for size. Can be a Gronk-type. Best of good class.
2 MIAMI David Njoku – Undersized TE, big H-Back. Great hands. Willing blocker but raw.
3 MISS Evan Engram – Kind of a big WR in usage. Route runner of class. Consistent.
4 MICH Jake Butt – Injury dethroned him as #1 in class. Could be a 10 year tight end.
5 ARK Jeremy Sprinkle – Tight end – Classic. Not fast. At weight, could be a long term TE.

On Offensive linemen, I’ll be comparing them to an existing NFL Player, rather than list their traits.

OTs:                                                                                       Gs & Cs:

1 BAMA Cam Robinson – A. Villanueva 1 WKU Forrest Lamp – Joel Bitonio
2 WISC Ryan Ramczyk – Ricky Wagner 2 IU Dan Feeney – Zack Martin
3 UTAH Garett Bolles – Kyle Long 3 OHST Pat Elflein – Ryan Kelly
4 TROY Antonio Garcia – Donovan Smith 4 TEMP Dion Dawkins – Ron Leary
5 USC Chad Wheeler – Jake Matthews 5 UK Jon Toth – Eric Wood

DTs:

1 BAMA Jonathan Allen – High Floor, so you’ll know what’s in store. Great, consistent player
2 MSU Malik McDowell – See to believe his moves. Production doesn’t do him Justice.
3 CLEM Carlos Watkins – Another Tiger standout. Destroyer. High effort player.
4 FLOR Caleb Brantley – He’s a tornado. Ultimate teammate, occupies so much attention.
5 BAMA Dalvin Tomlinson – Plug a dam-type run stuffer. Tackle factory.

DEs:

1 TAMU Myles Garrett – Probably a double-digit sack player for 8+ Years. Big and Scary.
2 STAN Solomon Thomas – Undersize, but great bulk. Very good performer, high upside.
3 TENN Derek Barnett – The Quarterback Hunter. Maybe the best pure Sack Artist in years.
4 MICH Taco Charlton – Epic upside, with great size. Out of the box double digit sacks.
5 UCLA Takkarist McKinley – Blue collar, high revs engine. Coming off injury. Undersized.

OLBs:

1 TEMP Haason Reddick – Does everything that he’s tasked with exceptional abilities. Grinder.
2 BAMA Tim Williams – Some baggage, but for right fit, could be superstar. One-trick rusher.
3 OHST Raekwon McMillan – Great field eraser. Covers a lot of ground. Needs better VS Pass
4 WISC T.J. Watt – Not J.J. but can operate in the field. Can be molded to fit schemes.
5 UH Tyus Bowser – Great read-and-react LB. Really pops towards play. Lean for NFL rusher

ILBs:

1 BAMA Reuben Foster – New model of ‘Bama field general. Seemingly everywhere on field.
2 VANDY Zach Cunningham – Really plays with instinct, and it shows. Lean and lanky.
3 FLOR Jarrad Davis – Plays with his heart on his shoulders. Oft-injured. Can be reckless.
4 NW Anthony Walker – Tackle mop. Small, but workable. Solid VS pass. Could start day 1.
5 CLEM Ben Boulware – Leader. Trusts his eyes. Needs players around him or could be JAG.

CBs:

1 OSU Marshon Lattimore – Solid size. Plays everything really well. ONE year production!
2 BAMA Marlon Humphrey – A little bigger than Lattimore. Two year starter. Aggressive.
3 FLOR Teez Tabor – Solid size. Very fluid. Likes to mix it up in support. Good hands.
4 FLOR Quincy Wilson – Great size. Slaps receivers around. For as physical, not much support.
5 LSU Tre’Davious White – Four year starter. Isn’t flashy, just does everything really well.

Safeties:

1 OSU Malik Hooker – Killer 2016. All those great FS traits in him. Zone-Rover.
2 LSU Jamal Adams – Really watertight SS. Plays like a punch. Not a lot of negative. Solid.
3 ND Jabrill Peppers – Moldable. Could be a puzzle with no instruction. Great Football IQ.
4 UW Budda Baker – A Hawk. Undersized, but makes all the plays. Someone will love him.
5 UCONN Obi Melifonwu – Big safety! Lots of tape, tackles, and room to improve. Great 2nd RD.
