Here we sit hours away from the start of the 2013 MLS Soccer season and the return of FC Dallas playing their games at FC Dallas Ballpark in Frisco.
Gone are Brek Shea (transferred to Stoke City of the English Premier side), Goalkeeper Kevin Hartman (FC Dallas opted not to resign him), with a George John resigning fans cling to the hope of a better 2013 than 2012 and a few new faces.
FC Dallas will have some striker depth with the additions of Kenny Cooper (he came from New York for some allocated money) and Eric Hassli (from Toronto for a 2014 draft pick). If either of these gentlemen can jell with Blas Perez the skies the limit for FC Dallas in 2013. Where depth is concerned you’ll love reading and learning about men like Michel, Steven Keel, and Je-Vaughn Watson.
At one point in 2012 as many as nine FC Dallas players were injured and out of sorts. David Ferreira the most notable. The 2013 team is very healthy to begin the season and on paper there looks to be alot of depth.
2013 could be a breakout year for backup goalie Chris Seitz. He is scheduled to see alot of the action while new acquisition Raul Fernandez will be kept busy with all the FIFA World Cup qualifying that lies ahead.
Here’s to FC Dallas and to MLS action.
