X Games First Full Day Lives Up to Expectations

Friday proved to be as exciting and fantastic as all those in Austin had hoped for when the X Games announced it was moving from Los Angeles to Austin. The first results that came in were for the BMX Street Finals had USA’s Garrett Reynolds edging out both Dakota Roche and Dennis Enarson for the Gold Medal.

In the men’s Enduro X, Taddy Blazusiak outran Cody Webb (Silver) and Alfredo Gomez (Bronze) to win the gold. The gold medal was Bluzusiak’s third gold in X-Games Enduro competitions.

In the women’s Enduro X, Kacy Martinez led from start to finish to capture her first gold ever in an X-Game. Kacy finished ahead of Sandra Gomez Cantero and Rachel Gulish.

In the Moto X Best Whip Tom Parsons beat out Jeremy Stenberg, and Josh Hansen by capturing more tweets than any other rider. It was the only competition decided 100% by viewers.

Ronnie Renner added to his X Game gold medal collection by winning the Step Up competition with a jump of 34 feet. Silver and Bronze were won by Bryce Hudson and Libor Podmol respectively.

And in the big event of the night, Skateboard Big Air, 14 year old Tom Schaar took home the gold edging out Bob Burnquist and Edgard Pereira.
