WrestleMania week is in full effect for the DFW Metroplex.
Since the WWE teamed up with the Dallas Cowboys to put on various events this week. Many Cowboys and WWE performers will be donating their time and efforts to helping those less fortunate or in need at charitable events all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
On Wednesday, Dallas Cowboys Darren McFadden and Gavin Escobar along with WWE Divas Paige, Naomi, and Tamina as well as WWE superstars AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Sin Cara visited Texas Scottish Rite Hospital to kick-off WWE’s week-long commitment to the community. The Superstars, Divas and Cowboys each signed and distributed replica WWE Championship Titles and action figures to children throughout their visit.
Divas Tamina and Naomi exclusively told Blitz Weekly what giving back means to them:
“It gives us strength to see them because we sit here and complain about our soars and our bodies and then you see these young kids and it’s a very huge inspiration to all us. I think this is what we love about our jobs, we come here and get to meet these wonderful kids who are fighting to do something better every day” Tamina said.
“As a parent you don’t ever want your children to suffer or have to deal with any kind of illness or major obstacles. You look at them and you wish you could take it for them, so I definitely see where the parents are going through having to see these young kids through precious circumstances. We feel so fortunate to be in the position we are in to experience the things that we do and give back,” Naomi said.
Hats off to the WWE and the Cowboys for using this stage to better the DFW community. Thanks to their time and efforts, many kids in the Metroplex will have their very own WrestleMania memories which have nothing to do with the big Sunday extravaganza.
