(C) JOANNA JEDRZEJCZYK (11-0-0) vs. #1 CLAUDIA “CLAUDINHA” GADELHA (13-1-0)
This is a five round fight for the Women’s Strawweight Championship. This fight will be a rematch of two rivals who don’t see eye to eye and are looking to make a big statement. This time however they will be fighting for five rounds instead of three and UFC gold will be on the line. Jedrzejczyk brings boxing and Muay Thai that has made her and efficient striker as well as the current Strawweight Champion. Gadelha brings Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu that has helped her become well-rounded in grappling techniques and striking making her a major threat to Jedrzejczyk’s title reign. With both fighters having great striking power and setups the fight looks to be a full out brawl between two female athletes that always go inside the cage to impress and show why they are at the top of the leader board. However, when it comes to all styles of techniques in this fight the advantage looks to be in the favor of Gadelha due to her well-rounded grappling techniques and abilities to bring her opponents to the ground where she can ground-pound them to the point that she finishes them or score enough points to take the decision win. With that in mind Jedrzejczyk looks to be in serious trouble as Gadelha looks to be out for blood in this fight as she still believes that she won their first meeting and was robbed by the hands of the judges. We cannot forget Jedrzejczyk’s great striking of her own and ability to pressure her opponents, which she will be sure to do more of than their first meeting and could place Gadelha in major trouble. However, Gadelha is far more well-rounded on the ground that Jedrzejczyk and that could be her key to victory in this fight and thus avenge her first professional loss and give Brazil another champion. My prediction: Gadelha wins via unanimous decision.

JAKE “THE CELTIC KID” MATTHEWS (11-1-0) vs. KEVIN “THE MOTOWN PHENOM” LEE (12-2-0)
This is a three round fight in the lightweight division. In this fight are two fighters not well known to the public and looking to make the appearances known more by putting on a great performance in hopes of catching the attention of the entire lightweight division. Matthews brings striking and jiu-jitsu that has given him a near perfect record as well as being efficient in striking and grappling techniques. Lee brings boxing and wrestling that has made him efficient in striking and grappling techniques as well. Since both fighters possess similar techniques the fights looks to go either way, but if the fight remains on their feet Matthews looks to take the fight with his striking set ups and ability to pressure his opponents, which Lee is not use to. Though Lee contains more grappling technique in his skill set and that could be more than Matthews can handle since he does not have as much experience on the ground as Lee does. However, in order to get the fight to the ground Lee will have to be cautious of Matthews’ striking that could prove to be deadly for Lee as he will have to avoid being struck while trying to perform a takedown at the same time. My prediction: Mathews wins via knockout in Round 1.

ROSS “THE REAL DEAL” PEARSON (21-10-0, 1 NC) vs. WILL “III WILL” BROOKS (17-1-0)
This is a three round fight in the lightweight division. In this fight are two fighters that always given everything they have and fight to finish their opponents for it is the way they believe that have truly won the fight. Pearson brings taekwondo, judo and jiu-jitsu making him very efficient in striking and cardio. Brooks brings boxing, kickboxing and wrestling that has made him effective on both feet and ground as well as having great cardio. With both fighters having their own combination setups, the fight will come down to whoever can perform their combinations at best. If the fight were to remain standing then Pearson looks to take the win with his impressive knockout power that always leaves his opponents stunned and not knowing what happened afterwards which Brooks has not faced before and could prove to be a great challenge for him. Though one cannot forget how well-rounded Brooks is on the ground with his impressive wrestling, which could be his greatest strength against Pearson, who really does not like fighting on the ground all that much. Either way this matchup looks to be a real fight that will leave fans in amazement once it is all said and done. My prediction: Brooks wins via submission in Round 2.
