UFC on Fox: Jacare vs. Brunson will air on January 27, 2018, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

#3 RONALDO “JACARE” SOUZA (24-5-0, 1 NC) vs #8 DEREK “THE LAW” BRUNSON (18-5-0)
This is a five-round main event in the middleweight division. Souza brings Muay Thai, judo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling giving him knockout power and grappling. He is also a former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion. Brunson brings boxing, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling giving him knockout power and grappling control. Both are aggressive fighters and very fast. However, Souza seems a little more well-rounded from his jiu-jitsu and ground-and-pound. Burnson though is a great striker so he could show a few surprises if this fight remains standing. But Souza appears better paced and always sets up attacks before finding the killing attack. Either way, this is going to be a fight that could be a possible ‘Fight of the Night’ candidate. My prediction: Souza wins via split decision.

#11 DENNIS “THE MENACE” BERMUDEZ (17-7-0) vs ANDRE “TOUCHY” FILI (17-5-0)
This is a three-round co-main event in the featherweight division. Bermudez brings striking and wrestling giving him striking power with extreme grappling control and cardio. Fili brings striking and jiu-jitsu giving him knockout power and grappling control. Both fighters are well-equipped with striking so they will be exchanging blows for sure. The grappling will be the key factor in this bout. Based on statistics Bermudez’s wrestling seems more accurate than Fili’s jiu-jitsu. When it goes to the ground Bermudez’s wrestling will overpower Fili’s jiu-jitsu and wear him down. My prediction: Bermudez wins via unanimous decision.

JORDAN “ALL DAY” RINALDI (13-5-0) vs GREGOR “THE GIFT” GILLESPIE (10-0-0)
This is a three-round fight in the lightweight division. Rinaldi brings striking, jiu-jitsu and wrestling giving him striking power and grappling control. Gillespie brings striking, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling giving him knockout power and grappling control leading him to a perfect record. Both these fighters possess the same abilities, so the outcome will be decided on who is more well-rounded. From their speed and aggression, Gillespie looks to take this from his striking power. Yes, Rinaldi has great striking power, but not as good as Gillespie’s. Unless Rinaldi finds a quick finish this is nothing more than a bad matchup. My prediction: Gillespie wins via knockout in Round 1.

DREW DOBER (18-8-0, 1 NC) vs FRANK “THE CRANK” CAMACHO (21-5-0)
This is a three-round fight in the lightweight division. Dober brings Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling giving him knockout power and grappling control. Camacho brings striking and jiu-jitsu giving him knockout power and grappling control. When it comes to striking Dober has great Muay Thai, but it still is not as efficient as Camacho’s striking. If this fight were to remain standing Camacho looks to put Dober to sleep. Going to the ground Dober might have a chance with his jiu-jitsu and wrestling. But Camacho’s jiu-jitsu is better than both Dober’s jiu-jitsu and wrestling. All in all this fight looks to be a one-sided beating waiting to happen. My prediction: Camacho wins via TKO in Round 2.
