UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs Brunson will air on November 27, 2016 in Melbourne, Australia.

#7 ROBERT “THE REAPER” WHITTAKER (17-4-0) vs. #8 DEREK BRUNSON (16-3-0)
This is a three round fight in the middleweight division. Whittaker brings boxing, karate, hapkido, jiu-jitsu and wrestling giving him striking power as well as grappling skills. Brunson brings striking, jiu-jitsu and wrestling which give him striking power as well as cardio. With this fight containing another set of two well-rounded fighters it looks hard to chose a victor, but I believe Brunson has just a little more skills than Whittaker in the standing game. Though Whittaker does seem more well-rounded in the ground game, so if he were to bring the fight to the ground I could easily see Whittaker placing Brunson in a world of trouble. But in order to do so he will have to find a way around the pressure of Brunson which will surely be difficult to overcome and I really don’t think Whittaker will be able to since Brunson shows a little better defense and pressure building than Whittaker. My prediction: Brunson wins via split decision.

DANIEL KELLY (11-1-0) vs. CHRIS CAMOZZI (24-11-0)
This is a three round fight in the middleweight division. Kelly brings striking, judo and jiu-jitsu giving him well-rounded grappling skills which have given him a near perfect record. Camozzi brings Muay Thai, judo, jiu-jitsu and wrestling making him efficient in all three methods of victory. Both of these fighters are skilled in ground game, but when it comes to standing I say that Camozzi has the greater advantage making him appear to be the favorite. With Camozzi being able to brings his opponents to the ground and put them in a world of trouble has me question if Kelly will be able to defend himself against Camozzi’s assault if the fight goes to the ground. The only way I see Kelly standing a chance is to keep the fight standing and place pressure on Camozzi to keep him from bringing the fight in the position of his advantage. My prediction: Camozzi wins via submission in Round 3.

JAKE “THE CELTIC KID” MATTHEWS (10-2-0) VS. ANDREW HOLBROOK (11-1-0)
This is a three round co-main event in the lightweight division. Matthews brings striking and jiu-jitsu giving him a near perfect record. Holbrook brings boxing and wrestling making him well-rounded in both striking a grappling. With both fighters containing almost identical techniques the fight looks tough to chose a favorite, but I believe with Holbrook’s wrestling and striking he just might be able to come off as the victor. Though Matthews does have some good jiu-jitsu he could use to try and match the wrestling of Holbrook, however I just don’t believe it is good enough to lead him to a win in the fight. My prediction: Holbrook wins via unanimous decision.
