UFC Fight Night: Magny vs. Ponzinibbio will air on November 17, 2018, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Preliminary Card (Fight Pass)

NAD “SMILER” NARIMANI (11-2-0) vs ANDERSON “BERINJA” DOS SANTOS (19-6-0)
This is a three-round fight in the featherweight division. Narimani brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Dos Santos brings striking and jiu-jitsu. They both bring their own style; Narimani appears to be more well-rounded. His jiu-jitsu is more efficient and his wrestling is on point. Dos Santos won’t be able to stand much as Narimani’s boxing will wear him down. This will then give Narimani the chance to grapple and put dos Santos away. My prediction: Narimani wins via submission in Round 3.

DEVIN POWELL (9-3-0) vs JESUS “ELMUDO” PINEDO (15-4-1)
This is a three-round fight in the lightweight division. Powell brings Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Pinedo brings striking and jiu-jitsu. Similar in style, but Powell’s Muay Thai is greater than any striking techniques Pinedo possesses. Even his wrestling is superior to all of Pinedo’s grappling, which will be a major downfall. Powell aims to control this fight until Pinedo is no longer able to defend himself. My prediction: Powell wins via TKO in Round 2.

Preliminary Card (Fox Sports 1)

LAUREANO “PEPI” STAROPOLI (7-1-0) vs HECTOR ALDANA (4-1-0)
This is a three-round fight in the welterweight division. Staropoli brings striking and grappling. Aldana brings striking and jiu-jitsu. Very similar in style; Staropoli appears to have a little better cardio. He striking and grappling are faster and more accurate while he paces himself. Aldana is accurate himself, but not like Staropoli. My prediction: Staropoli wins via unanimous decision.

HUMBERTO BANDENAY (14-5-0, 1 NC) vs AUSTIN “GOLDEN BOY” ARNETT (15-5-0)
This is a three-round fight in the featherweight division. Bandenay brings striking and grappling. Arnett brings striking, karate, and jiu-jitsu. Almost similar, but Arnett possesses better grappling. His jiu-jitsu will give him the edge. Even his karate will help out to defend himself from Bandenay’s striking. Bandenay mainly relies on his striking, which will not be enough to stand against Arnett. My prediction: Arnett wins via split decision.

#9 ALEXANDRE “THE CANNIBAL” PANTOJA (19-3-0) vs #15 ULKA SASAKI (21-5-2)
This is a three-round fight in the flyweight division. Pantoja brings Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu. Sasaki brings shootfight, jujutsu, and wrestling. The Muay Thai Pantoja brings is a dangerous weapon, but not dangerous enough to stop Sasaki’s wrestling. Even his jiu-jitsu won’t be able to stand against Sasaki as he will control the fight while performing some ground-and-pound. My prediction: Sasaki wins via unanimous decision.

MICHEL “TRACTOR” PRAZERES (25-2-0) vs BARTOSZ “THE BUTCHER” FABINSKI (14-2-0)
This is a three-round fight in the welterweight division. Prazeres brings striking and jiu-jitsu. Fabinski brings striking and judo. Both are well-round submission specialist, but Prazeres’ ability to control is better. His jiu-jitsu is more accurate than Fabinski’s judo and his ability to ground-and-pound is more efficient. That is where he will take him apart until placing the finishing touches on his work. My prediction: Prazeres wins via submission in Round 3.

Main Card (Fox Sports 1)

CYNTHIA CALVILLO (6-1-0) vs POLIANA BOTELHO (7-1-0)
This is a three-round fight in the women’s strawweight division. Calvillo brings Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Botelho brings Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu. Botelho’s Muay Thai is dangerous and can show a huge threat to Calvillo. However, Calvillo’s jiu-jitsu and wrestling is far greater and will be difficult for Botelho to surpass. Even with her Muay Thai, she doesn’t have enough defense to stay standing and Calvillo will take advantage of that. My prediction: Calvillo wins via submission in Round 2.

GUIDO “NINJA” CANNETTI (8-3-0) vs MARLON “CHITO” VERA (11-5-1)
This is a three-round fight in the bantamweight division. Cannetti brings kickboxing, Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu. Vera brings striking, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. The striking power of Cannetti will be a big challenge for Vera. However, Vera’s wrestling will be too difficult for Cannetti to handle. Cannetti has jiu-jitsu, but it’s not up to the same level as Vera’s wrestling. In that case, Vera will control the fight from start to finish. My prediction: Vera wins via unanimous decision.

CEZAR “MUTANTE” FERREIRA (13-6-0) VS. IAN “THE HURRICANE” HEINISCH (11-1-0)
This is a three-round fight in the middleweight division. Ferreira brings striking, Capoeira, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Heinisch brings boxing and wrestling. The grappling abilities of Ferreira look to oppose a great threat to Heinisch. However, Heinisch’s wrestling is just as good and with his boxing, he will give Ferreira a challenge. With his boxing alone he most likely won’t need to use his wrestling. He has the power in his hands to put Ferreira where Ferreira can get rocked when hit just right. My prediction: Heinisch wins via TKO in Round 1.

KHALIL “THE WAR HORSE” ROUNTREE JR. (7-2-0, 1 NC) vs JOHNNY WALKER (14-3-0)
This is a three-round fight in the light heavyweight division. Rountree brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Walker brings boxing and jiu-jitsu. Both can strike and grapple; Rountree has better cardio. With his wrestling background, he will wear Walker down. Walker could try his jiu-jitsu to even things up, but that won’t be much help. His jiu-jitsu is not at the same level as Rountree and that will give Rountree even more control. My prediction: Rountree wins via unanimous decision.

#12 RICARDO “THE BULLY” LAMAS (18-7-0) vs #13 DARREN “THE DAMAGE” ELKINS (24-6-0)
This is a three-round co-main event in the featherweight division. Lamas brings boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Elkins brings striking, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Both are extreme warriors so it’s hard to choose a favorite. Elkins possesses impressive knockout power and aggression to really pressure Lamas. Lamas has crazy jiu-jitsu and wrestling to cause damage to Elkins and wear him down. Though Elkins can absorb great amounts of damage he won’t be able to fight back after all the ground-and-pound. My prediction: Lamas wins via split decision.

#8 NEIL MAGNY (21-6-0) vs #10 SANTIAGO “GENTE BOA” PONZINIBBIO (26-3-0)
This is a five-round fight in the welterweight division. Magny brings striking, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Ponzinibbio brings boxing, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu. Both are strikers and grapplers, but Ponzinibbio is more well-rounded in his grappling and defense. Magny can use his wrestling, but Ponzinibbio will defend well and wear Magny down. From there on he will attack him until bringing him to the ground and finding a submission hold. My prediction: Ponzinibbio wins via submission in Round 3.
