Preliminary Card (Fight Pass)

CHRIS DE LA ROCHA (5-2-0) vs JUAN “THE KRAKEN” ADAMS (4-0-0)
This is a three-round fight in the heavyweight division. La Rocha brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Adams brings striking and wrestling. Both have great techniques for beginners, but Adams is better at executing his. His mix of striking and grappling will give him great attack and paceā”€La Rocha, no so much. My prediction: Adams wins via submission in Round 3.

TREVOR “HOT SAUCE” SMITH (15-8-0) vs ZAC CUMMINGS (21-6-0)
This is a three-round fight in the middleweight division. Smith brings striking, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Cummings brings Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Both fighters are similar; Cummings Muay Thai will make all the difference. Smith has no set base of striking, which will place him at a great disadvantage. Even with jiu-jitsu and wrestling, he will not be able to keep Cummings at bay as Cummings possesses both too. My prediction: Cummings wins via TKO in Round 2.

ADAM MILSTEAD (8-2-0, 1 NC) vs MIKE “BONES” RODRIGUEZ (9-3-0)
This is a three-round fight in the light heavyweight division. Milstead brings boxing and wrestling. Rodriguez brings boxing and jiu-jitsu. Both can box, but Milstead’s wrestling will outclass Rodriguez’s jiu-jitsu. His ability to control and pace himself more will be more than Rodriguez can handle. Milstead will attack Rodriguez throughout the fight until the final bell. My prediction: Milstead wins via unanimous decision.

Preliminary Card (Fox Sports 1)

DAN “DYNAMITE” IGE (9-2-0) VS. JORDAN “THE NATIVE PSYCHO” GRIFFIN (17-5-0)
This is a three-round fight in the featherweight division. Ige brings striking, judo and jiu-jitsu. Griffin brings striking and jiu-jitsu. The judo and jiu-jitsu combination of Ige will make this fight. With both as his alternative weapons, he will control the fight, placing Griffin under pressure. He will do this until finding his opening to make Griffin quit. My prediction: Ige wins via submission in Round 1.

GERALD “GM3” MEERSCHAERT (28-9-0) vs JACK “THE JOKER” HERMANSSON (17-4-0)
This is a three-round fight in the middleweight division. Meerschaert brings kickboxing, taekwondo, and jiu-jitsu. Hermansson brings boxing, kickboxing, and wrestling. Close fight, but Hermansson’s boxing and wrestling will outclass Meerschaert. Meerschaert has taekwondo and jiu-jitsu, but they’re not at the level of Hermansson. Hermansson will attack Meerschaert with aggression while keeping him pressured throughout the fight. My prediction: Hermansson wins via unanimous decision.

JARED “FLASH” GORDON (14-2-0) vs JOAQUIM “NETTO BJJ” SILVA (10-1-0)
This is a three-round fight in the lightweight division. Gordon brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Silva brings boxing, Muay Thai, and jiu-jitsu. Pretty even fight; Gordon’s ground-and-pound is more aggressive. His mix of boxing and wrestling will give him more control against Silva’s Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu. He even brings jiu-jitsu of his own, which will give him even more control. My prediction: Gordon wins via TKO in Round 2.

BOBBY “KING” GREEN (24-8-1) vs DRAKKAR KLOSE (8-1-1)
This is a three-round fight in the lightweight division. Green brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Klose brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. They both bring the same techniques; Klose executes his better. His boxing is more accurate and his wrestling is more controlling. Green is well-rounded with his techniques but has declined recently in his level. Klose is on the rise and will be pressuring Green until finding the finishing blow. My prediction: Klose wins via TKO in Round 2.

#10 JESSICA-ROSE CLARK (9-5-0, 1 NC) vs #15 ANDREA “KGB” LEE (9-2-0)
This is a three-round fight in the women’s flyweight division. Clark brings boxing, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu. Lee brings kickboxing, Muay Thai, Kyokushin, judo, and jiu-jitsu. Both are aggressive, but Lee is more accurate and paces herself better. Her Muay Thai and judo are superior to Clark’s boxing and jiu-jitsu and will place great pressure upon Clark. My prediction: Lee wins via unanimous decision.

ZAK “THE BARBARIAN” OTTOW (16-6-0) vs DWIGHT “THE BODY SNATCHER” GRANT (8-1-0)
This is a three-round fight in the welterweight division. Ottow brings kickboxing, taekwondo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Grant brings Kung Fu and jiu-jitsu. Ottow’s wrestling might give Grant trouble, but Ottow has not been doing his best lately. He seems to have lost speed and Grant is fast for minimal experience in the promotion. His Kung Fu is more accurate than Ottow’s kickboxing and taekwondo. His takedown defense is also on point and he will not be giving Ottow any edge. My prediction: Grant wins via unanimous decision.

Main Card (Fox)

JIM MILLER (29-12-0, 1 NC) vs CHARLES “DO BRONX” OLIVEIRA (24-8-0, 1 NC)
This is a three-round fight in the lightweight division. Miller brings Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Oliveira brings boxing, Muay Thai, and jiu-jitsu. Miller can take some damage, but Oliveira is no joke when the fight goes to the ground. With his jiu-jitsu he will take the fight to the ground; his Muay Thai will help him do so. Miller will use his wrestling, but it still won’t be enough to survive the fury of Oliveira. My prediction: Oliveira wins via submission in Round 1.

#11 ROB FONT (15-4-0) vs #2(FLW) SERGIO PETTIS (17-4-0)
This is a three-round fight in the bantamweight division. Font brings Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu. Pettis brings kickboxing, taekwondo, and jiu-jitsu. A close matchup, but Font is better at grappling than Pettis. Pettis has jiu-jitsu to use, but he’s not very good with it. Font will be using his to wear down Pettis while mixing in some ground-and-pound. This game will continue until the very end. My prediction: Font wins via unanimous decision.

#5 EDSON “JUNIOR” BARBOZA (19-6-0) vs #14 DAN “HANGMAN” HOOKER (17-7-0)
This is a three-round co-main event in the lightweight division. Barboza brings boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, taekwondo and jiu-jitsu. Hooker brings kickboxing, Muay Thai, and jiu-jitsu. Both can pack a punch, but Barboza throws heavier kicks. His kickboxing is on point and will be more than Hooker can chew. Hooker has a chin, but it won’t be able to withstand the heavy attacks Barboza will be throwing. My prediction: Barboza wins via knockout in Round 2.

#4 KEVIN “THE MOTOWN PHENOM” LEE (17-3-0) vs #8 AL “RAGING” IAQUINTA (13-4-1)
This is a five-round main event in the lightweight division. Lee brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Iaquinta brings boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Both fighters possess similar techniques, but Lee looks to have improved more from their first meeting. His jiu-jitsu is more on point than Iaquinta’s and that will be Iaquinta’s biggest downfall. However, Lee must keep a distance; Iaquinta has knockout power and he will fight to knockout Lee. Lee has better cardio, which will be enough for him to gain vengeance this time around. My prediction: Lee wins via unanimous decision.
