UFC 202: Diaz vs. McGregor II will air on August 20, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

NATE DIAZ (20-10-0) vs. (C) CONOR “THE NOTORIOUS” MCGREGOR (19-3-0)
This is a five round main event in the lightweight division. This has got to be one of the most anticipated rematches of the year as both these fighters show no respect for one another and are looking to prove to the world why they are the better fighter. Diaz brings jiu-jitsu and boxing which has lead him to become a deadly opponent to stand with as well as a well-round submission specialist. McGregor brings striking and jiu-jitsu that has lead him to a near perfect record in MMA with 17 wins finished by knockout leading him to becoming the current Featherweight Champion. In their last meeting Diaz pulled off one of the biggest upsets in UFC history as he submitted the Irishman in a clean fashion that no one ever expected. Since the loss McGregor has been training like a dog to avenge his first loss inside the Octagon of the UFC by working on his takedown defense and striking combination that looks to be what he will use to try and defeat Diaz with in this hoped to be epic rematch. Though, Diaz has been training hard as well and he looks to make history repeat itself only this time he plans to do it much faster as he will want to use his jiu-jitsu again as he did the first time that lead him to victory and show everyone why he is one of the UFC’s toughest fighters. With how much each fighter has been training to improve their game plan from their last encounter the fight looks to be another war that could possibly go down as one of the greatest fights to ever take place inside the UFC and possibly the sport of MMA in general. My prediction: Diaz wins via submission in Round 1.

#1 ANTHONY “RUMBLE” JOHNSON (21-5-0) vs. #2 GLOVER TEIXEIRA (25-4-0)
This is a three round fight in the light heavyweight division. In this fight are two of the heaviest hitters in the light heavyweight division that will finally go head-to-head to prove who is the real deadliest striker of the light heavyweight division. Johnson brings striking, kickboxing and wrestling that has lead him to the win 15 of his 21 wins by knockout as well as the number one spot on title contenders in the light heavyweight division. Teixeira brings striking and jiu-jitsu that has lead him to become one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC as well as the number two spot on the leader board. With both fighters being well-rounded in striking, the fight will be mostly based on who can score the most strikes and possibly knock their opponent out in the process. It is hard to choose who has the advantage, but if you add in the aspect of speed into the mix then it looks to favor Johnson as he is much faster than Teixeira. That will most likely play a huge effect in this fight thus giving him a great advantage over Teixeira, who is not very well equipped to face fighters with intense speed. Though Teixeira’s own advantage is his ground game that could come in great use against Johnson, who is not very well equipped in ground game style as he has lost four of five losses by submission. If Teixeira can use his jiu-jitsu, then Johnson will not stand a chance, which would not only give Teixeira the biggest win of his career, but the next title shot. It still though is a tough fight to call as it could go either way as it really just depends on who puts more effort into their performance. My prediction: Johnson wins via knockout in Round 2.

#9 RICK “THE HORROR” STORY (19-8-0) vs. #14 DONALD “COWBOY” CERRONE (30-7-0, 1 NC)
This is a three round fight in the welterweight division. In this fight are two fighters trailing each other in the leader board and are looking to move their way up by putting on another great performance. Story brings boxing and wrestling giving him great cardio, but not so much power in striking and grappling. Cerrone brings boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu and wrestling making him efficient in submission holds as well as striking power. With what both fighters bring to the fight Cerrone looks to be the favorite as he possesses much more skills in striking and grappling as Story only has two forms of both skills of fighting making him to be at a huge disadvantage. Though Story does have a good form of cardio that he could use to try and wear down Cerrone and since this is a welterweight fight. Cerrone is still new to the division and Story could even use that to his advantage as he knows more about what it takes to compete in the weight class. My prediction: Story wins via split decision.
