The Broncos are on a roll. Brock Osweiler is playing decent while filling for the injured Peyton Manning at the quarterback spot. The running game is where it needs to be and the defense is lights out as usual. As a football fan there are players that stand out of the crowd on every team. The Chargers has two future hall of famers on their roster and they were shut down in the game. Let’s take a look at how the Broncos won this one in San Diego by the score of 17-3!

Broncos Offense
Brock Osweiler finished the game with 166 yards on 16/26 passing with a touchdown and an interception. Ronnie Hillman had the bulk of the carries with 19 and finished with 56 yards. C. J. Anderson carried the ball seven times for 42 yards. As a team the Broncos carried the ball 39 times for 134 yards. WR Damaryius Thomas caught six passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. TE Vernon Davis caught a pair of passes for 25 yards and WR Emmanuel Sanders caught three passes for 19 yards. How could a team win with numbers like that? Time management is the answer. The Broncos ate the clock up on offense during this contest.

Broncos Defense
Defense wins! The defense was stingy against the Chargers. Everyone including avid football fans thought that Phillip Rivers would pass for at least 300 yards and test the defensive backs of the Broncos. Well, that didn’t happen. Rivers struggled all day because he spent the majority of his time on his back. Von Miller, Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett teamed up with four sacks. Danny Trevathan picked Phillip Rivers off and took it in for a score. The Denver defense is stingy, physical and nasty! They lead the NFL in every defensive ranking across the board.

Next Week
Denver welcomes the Oakland Raider to Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Raiders are coming in with a chip on their shoulder. The Raiders lost 34-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs and look to bounce back. This will be a really good game between two hungry defenses. The Broncos continues to roll. I repeat, the Broncos continues to roll!
