FORT WORTH, TEXAS (June 21, 2016) – The “Big Hoss” Ultimate Drive-In Movie Series benefitting Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Chapter kicks off Saturday evening with the showing of the science fiction adventure film Jurassic World on the Guinness World Records largest TV at Texas Motor Speedway.
The newly released thriller featuring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be shown on “Big Hoss” for a drive-in style set-up. Jurassic World is the first of three movies to be shown this summer that also includes the Hollywood blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens (July 30) and Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out (Aug. 20). Moviegoers will enjoy each of the films on “Big Hoss” and its 20,633.64 square feet of HD display as it sits high above Texas Motor Speedway’s backstretch.
Admission is $20 per carload the day of the event at the South Tunnel or $15 with advanced purchase, available at www.texasmotorspeedway.com.
Jurassic World will begin at 8 p.m. CT with the South Tunnel opening at 6:30 p.m. to allow moviegoers access to the infield drive-in parking area. They can access the South Tunnel directly by turning onto Allison Way off State Highway 114 that runs directly in front of the facility.
Moviegoers will be permitted to bring their own food and beverage, and Levy Restaurants also will have concession stands open on site. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the movie under the stars instead of inside their vehicles. No pets are permitted.
About Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Chapter: Since 1997, Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway has distributed more than $10 million in funding to non-profit organizations in North Texas supporting children in need. The funds distributed by Speedway Children’s Charities are raised through special events held throughout the year. Most of Speedway Children’s Charities events are centered on the three major race weeks at Texas Motor Speedway.
Speedway Children’s Charities focuses on helping the children of North Texas – specifically in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties – could fill the grandstands at Texas Motor Speedway more than 16 times with the number of children it has assisted since 1997.
Children’s organizations in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties are eligible to apply for the Speedway Children’s Charities’ annual Founders and Partner Grants.
