Why you should watch this game
Boise State can score at anytime whether it’s 2 minutes left in the game or 20 seconds. Their offense is high powered on the ground and in the air. On the other hand the Huskies stood toe to toe with Ohio State earlier this year and these kids can play with any team in the country.

How did they get here
The Broncos finished the season 8-4 overall and 5-3 in the Mountain West. NIU won the MAC Championship, finishing 8-5 overall and 6-2 in their conference. Boise State will play in their 14th consecutive bowl and that ties a streak for sixth in the country. Remember you only need to win six games to become bowl eligible. Both teams show spunk and a great desire to win. Let’s take a look at the matchup.

Boise State Broncos
The key to the offense is #4 Brett Rypien. Rypien passed for 2,976 yards and 17 touchdowns. He’s the leader on offense. A very heady player that audibles from what the defense is showing. He’s the field general leading his troops to a score in the Broncos fast paced offense. “He’s a head of his time, freshman quarterbacks don’t play like this,’ said an NFL executive. “He can play at the next level tomorrow if he wants.” Sophomore Jeremy McNichols lead the team with 1,244 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. WR Thomas Sperbeck will get most of the looks at receiver. This year alone he has 82 receptions for 1334 and 8 TDs. The Broncos offense is very dangerous.

Northern Illinois Huskies
Junior quarterback Drew Hare has played lights out all season. He has completed over 63% percent of his attempts for 1,962 yards and 14 touchdowns. He can air it out with any quarterback in the country. His favorite target is WR Kenny Golladay. Golladay leads the team with 71 receptions and 10 touchdowns. The defense is a pretty decent unit with eight take aways on the season.

My Prediction
On an entertainment level I give this game 4 out of 5 Coca-Colas. I see the Boise State Broncos pulling this game out in the final quarter. A field goal will win this one. Broncos 30 – Huskies 27
