Well, well, well… look what we have here! A rematch from Week 15 when the Steelers beat the Broncos 34-27. In that game the Pittsburgh receivers looked unstoppable while Big Ben found Antonio Brown in every spot on the field Brown ran to. I swear I saw Brown catch a pass near the popcorn stand in Row 15. Times have changed since Week 15. Big Ben has a sore throwing shoulder and Antonio Brown is on the league’s concussion protocol list. Will the Broncos get revenge this Sunday? Yes! The defense is healthy and the offense looks good. Let’s take a look at this Sunday’s match up.
Peyton Manning is starting again. His job is to take care of the ball. Brock Osweiler understands that Peyton is the key to the offense. Manning has to get his timing back with his receivers and hand the ball off to Ronnie Hillman and C. J. Anderson. The running game will be the key to clock control. Running the ball helps Denver’s inconsistent 0-line. The ground game tames the Steelers aggressive defense with pass rushing. Pittsburgh can play in cold weather too. Keeping the defense on their heels while sustaining long scoring drives will help the Broncos get the win over the Steelers. Peyton Manning knows that if he’s in control, scoring will be easy. Coach Gary Kubiak should allow Manning to get into a flow with a balance of run and pass plays.
Broncos Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has to turn the dogs loose. Denver has a barbed-wire defense that’s very stingy! Conservative rushes and cover defense will get your heads beat in against Pittsburgh. They relish in the fact that teams get stuck watching the game when their opponents get a 15-20 point lead and the Steeler offense wakes up to score points. Stopping the run upfront with the defensive line is key. Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware and the rest of the defense is preparing for the run. Pittsburgh has a talented core of running backs that can break long runs at anytime when healthy. The corners should be aware that Big Ben hurt or not can find his receivers anywhere and everywhere on the field. This will be a great game!
The winner of this game will make it to the Super Bowl. Who cares about the point spread! I’m predicting the Broncos by 10! If the Broncos run the ball 20-25 times and wear that defense out the Broncos will win. Final Score: Broncos 27 – Steelers 17
