Records Before the Game
North Texas Mean Green (7-2, 3-2 C-USA)
Old Dominion Monarchs (2-7, 1-5 C-USA)

North Texas is a good team that has a wide open chance of making more noise at the end of season. Bowl placement is key. I’m not looking passed ODU or any other team. The Mean Green sit at 7-2 and are bowl eligible. Maybe they will get an invite to play a power team this year. ODU is rebuilding but are looking to play spoiler this week. Let’s take a look at this swing game.

UNT Mean Green
The offense has to look impressive. They pretty much have to win by a huge margin for anyone to pay attention to this squad. They average 37 points a game, but that’s not enough. They need to impose their will when playing teams with losing records. The two games that they lost were close and the average loss was by 5. This team could easily be 9-0 right now. What’s crazy is how they drop easy games. This week they need to be focused on the task at hand.

Old Dominion University
Over the last 5 games ODU has dropped 4 (3 straight). This team came into the season with high hopes but the team hasn’t put things together. Quarterback Blake LaRussa is pretty good under center but he’s turnover prone with 7 INTs this year. The running game has to be a primary focus for the team to have a chance against UNT. The defense has to play big as well. ODU has a bright future on both sides of the ball, they have to put it together.

Snack Scale
If you’re into watching a topsy turvey game, well this is the perfect one to watch. I see this game being a 10 piece hot wing game with veggies and a Coke. Keep your remote in hand!

UNT at home is favored to roll over ODU! ESPN has UNT by an 84% margin to win. I’m doing the same!

Final Score
UNT 34
ODU 13
