Mark Cuban: Trump’s Newest Fan

Just recently the owner of the Mavericks and Cyber Dust app, Mark Cuban, seems to be singing a different tune since referring to Donald Trump, the laughable presidential candidate, as a “Paper Tiger” earlier this month. He took to his app to say the following

——————————————

“So who wants me to talk about Donald Trump and his candidacy for president?

I can’t resist! So if you dont want to read about it, hit this dots in the upper right and mute me

It’s time!

Hey, Dusters, let’s talk Trump. So much to say that it can’t happen in one blast. But the first place to start is his net worth.

He has been bragging that he is worth north of ten billion dollars north of then billion dollars.

Ok. While’s it’s a big number, it’s not an important number. In fact it’s a play number.”

——————————————

I’m gonna stop there because he goes on to explain that your net worth doesn’t mean you have a lot of cash, ending it with, “he can’t afford the cash it takes to run for President!”

Essentially, their pissing contest continues on, like when last year Trump referred to Cuban as a “lightweight”. Two grown men saying, “I’m richer than you!” “No, I’m richer than you!” Its like those kids in school we all knew, who just brag about the shit they have. We all remember that child-like mentality we had that material possessions somehow made us superior to others.

But now Cuban is praising Trump, stating “I don’t care what his actual positions are” according to Business Insider. He stated in the same interview,

I don’t care if he says the wrong thing. He says what’s on his mind. He gives honest answers rather than prepared answers. This is more important than anything any candidate has done in years.

Yeah let that shit sink in for a little bit. Cuban even goes on to say he appreciates Trump’s attitude and has little concerns for his policies.

First off, Trump is a troll in the truest form possible, and it doesn’t help that he is the most reported on candidate by the media. I’m not even kidding, and fuck me I wish was. The fact that Cuban even says Trump is doing something important baffles me, cause if he knows about politics, then how can he not know Trump isn’t really doing anything new? Also, this is completely hypocritical on his part after fear mongering for his Cyber Dust app in this video. How about the fact that Cuban doesn’t care what Trump’s position is, but just that he speaks his mind. So you’re a fan of loud mouthed people shouting anything, whether its good ideas to help, or ignorant ranting to get more money?

More hypocritical comments were made when Cuban went as far as to say, “Up until Trump announced his candidacy, the conventional was that you had to be a professional politician in order to run”. You don’t say. Again I’m not seeing what Trumps doing that’s new. Cuban wrote, “You had to have a background that was politically scrubbed. In other words, smart people who didn’t live perfects lives could never run.” Cuban also said “The Donald is chasing all of that. He has changed the game and for that he deserves a lot of credit.” No Cuban. He isn’t changing anything or revolutionizing the republican party. You talk about “Playing the base.” and how you don’t feel Trump is doing that. Its exactly whats he’s doing and whats you’re doing. This is the same guy who threaten a Drug Lord and got scared and said John McCain was not a hero cause he was a POW, thats is the guy you are saying is admirable.

If “Keeping up with the Kardashians” has taught us anything, it’s that our culture loves rich people and what goes on in their lives. It’s not new knowledge that social media only furthered that. With all being said, it seems we need reminding every two years that just because a celebrity has a lot of money it doesn’t mean they have a wise stance on political and social events. The internet and social media have given everyone a voice, even though everyone doesn’t necessarily need one, we all know this, and Trump is one of those people.

Honestly, what wisdom will ever be learned from one of his tweets? This man is playing for attention, and he’s getting what he wants. It’s disappointing and a bit offensive to see Mark Cuban say things like this. Trump is speaking about and singling out a race of people, again not a new thing in America, just look at history. There have always been, and maybe always will be, a politician that has something against a single group of people, Trump’s just happens to be Hispanophobia. While I’m not saying Cuban shouldn’t have a voice, this is a subject he is just spouting off on like Trump. The whole idea that Trump is something to be taken seriously in our presidential system leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

One has to wonder if any backlash will come from Texas, most likely not if our Teams do good this year.
