Kitkatz, the National Champion Mini Pom Team directed by former Dallas Mavericks Dancer Whitney Foster, is headed back to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Nationals this weekend at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Originating back in 2013, these tiny dancers came together from different walks of life to form one dance family…KITKATZ.
Though they might be small…they are mighty! Like any other competitive or professional dance team, these girls are put through an audition process and once they earn their spot the work begins!
These dancers practice two-three times a week for a countless amount of hours to get ready for the different competitions that they participate in each month as well as other performances they have within the DFW area.
Kitkatz have won a countless amount of awards including: Best Dance, Grand Champ and High Point. The prestigious “WOW” award has gone to someone on this team EACH time it has been presented.
Competing at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Nationals has always been one of the favorite events for these tiny pom shakers, not only because they get to see and meet the cheerleaders, but also because they get to compete on the biggest stage in Texas…the home of the five-time Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys.
The first year competing here, Kitkatz took home 1st place in their division – Mini Pom – with their “Cowboy” routine. The second year back at this Nationals, they were up against tough competition but still pulled on a great 2nd place finish with their “Tina Turner – Shake a Tail Feather” routine!
This year…dancing to “Pom Poms – Jonas Brothers”… Kitkatz are back and ready to reclaim their spot at the top of the DCC Nationals.
