Green Bay Broncos vs. Denver Broncos
Sunday – November 1 – 7:30pm CT
TV: NBC
Sports Authority Field at Mile High – Denver, Colorado

This is the match up that everyone is talking about. For weeks the Broncos have been winning mainly by their defensive play. Now, the Broncos will be tested by one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in Aaron Rodgers. The Broncos are hosting as under dogs in this game. A lot of critics, football analysts and fans are saying that three of Denver’s wins were by luck. I can remember back in 2012 which was the last time the Broncos were underdogs at home. Sunday night will tell the tale in front of millions of fans which team is the better team. Are the Broncos for real and will Peyton Manning come out of his slump? But, let’s remember that the Broncos are 25-3 as favorites at home including the playoffs. They beat the Houston Texans the last time they were underdogs during Peyton Manning’s first year as a Bronco. “The better quarterback wins,” an NFL personnel man said. “Rodgers is the difference because he can make two to four plays with his arm and his feet that Manning can’t.”

Broncos Offense
Peyton Manning has to play like he has championship aspirations this season. He can worry about changing plays at the line and shout “Omaha Omaha”. He needs to stick with the snap count and the play. This is his second encounter and possibly the last of Manning versus Rodgers showdown. Let’s see if Manning the four time MVP of the NFL can play to MVP status on Sunday Night! Manning’s passer rating is 72.5 ranks slightly 31st for all of you number junkies out there. Which means that 30 other quarterbacks are playing at a higher level than the former MVP. The keys to victory: Run the ball, quick passes in the flat and stretch the field in order to win. Manning is the key this week and he needs to be ready to challenge the defensive secondary of the Packers.

Broncos Defense
The defense needed the BYE week to refresh themselves. DeMarcus Ware and a few other key players needed the rest to heal lingering wounds over the first six games. Aaron Rodgers comes into Mile High and he’s ready to prove that Green Bay is the better team. “Yeah, it was good getting a little rest for all of us, but especially us older guys and the guys up front” according to Ware. The Packers O-line was also banged up over the first six games of the season. James Jones and Randall Cobb are looking forward to playing against the Broncos secondary which ranks in the top 10 in the NFL. This game could be a Super Bowl preview with how both teams have been playing. Both defenses will make this game very interesting. They both pressure the opposing quarterback well and getting sacks is an easy task for both teams. Let’s see what happens on Sunday.

aprediction
The Broncos defense is very stingy. Although Rodgers plays at a high level every game, the Broncos D-line will expose the Packers O-line and have Rodgers on the run from the first snap. Most fans talk about the point spread but the game hasn’t been played yet. My prediction is Broncos 35 – Packers 31 … Place your bets now!
