Records Before the Game
Denver Broncos (4-1, 2-0 Away)
San Diego Chargers (1-4, 1-1 Home)

This week the Broncos have three players injured. Trevor Siemian and Kayvon Webster are questionable and DeMarcus Ware is out. I picked the Broncos to beat Atlanta last week and that didn’t happen. I’m picking them Thursday Night against the Chargers by 10.

Why you shouldn’t watch this game:
Preseason basketball just started up and the Denver Nuggets look really good!

Why you should watch this game:
To see if the Broncos defense can pull it together. The first four weeks the champs looked dominant. But, Atlanta exposed the defense by using the running backs in the flat to catch crucial passes in the open field.

Offensive Game Plan
Trevor Siemian should wait another week. Rushing him back will only put him right back on the shelf.
I feel that they offense will be okay running the ball. C. J. Anderson needs to neutralize the Charger defense by running the ball right at them. Gary Kubiak`s offense is a run based offense that sets up the pass. Get back to the basic Denver and run the ball on first and second down. They have to keep the defense on the field by chewing up the clock on long drives from start to finish.

Defensive Game Plan
Philip Rivers is a top tier quarterback that doesn’t receive the credit he’s due. He along with Travis Benjamin can strike at anytime on any part of the field. Melvin Gordon will get the bulk of the carries. He’s carried the ball 89 times gaining 299 yards and 6 touchdowns so far. ESPN is predicting the Chargers at 53.3% to win this one. Wow! Everyone has bailed on the Bronco defense. Last week was last week and the D-line will make up for last weeks loss by feasting on Philip Rivers right from the start of the game.

Game prediction:
Order a couple of pizzas from PaPa Johns, get a 20 piece wings and 12 pack of Cokes for this one.
The Broncos will win this one, but it won’t be easy. The score Broncos 28 – Chargers 17
