Where do I start? Do I spend the majority of the article talking about Michigan’s tradition? Do I talk about how important this game is for Colorado? Do I warn the Buffs offense and defense about the trouble that they could be in? Nope! I’ll just breakdown how the Buffaloes could take down the Wolverines on Saturday! Shall I begin? Let’s do it!
Senior QB Sefo Liufau is the key. He’s been lights out in the first two games of the season. As long as he’s playing great, the offense has a chance of putting up points in all four quarters. Yes, I said it! He has to prove all of the football critics wrong by the way he has to play on Saturday. Michigan is only giving up 160 total yards and 62 passing yards a game. Sefo Liufau has to be darn near perfect to keep Colorado close leading into the 4th quarter. The running game has to be established in order for Liufau to throw the ball down field.
The Buffaloes corners have to continue to play like ball hawks. Jourdan Lewis and Chidobe Awuzie has made a huge impact on the corners for the defense. Both players combined has recorded 10 tackles, an interception and two passes defended in the first two games. Don’t forget about standout linebackers Jimmie Gilbert and Kenneth Olugbode. Jimmie Gilbert has a pair of sacks already! Michigan’s offense won’t intimidate the Buffaloes on defense. The Buffaloes will be ready in aspects on defense. Stopping the pass and stuffing the run is the game plan and the guys will step up to the challenge Saturday.
Prediction: The Buffaloes will put up a good fight. I believe if the game is close the Buffaloes will leave Michigan with an upset. But… if they fall behind the Wolverines could run up the score.
Final score: Buffaloes 38 – Wolverines 33
