Rising bantamweight star Cody “No Love” Garbrandt has been on a role since turning pro in the sport of mixed martial arts back in 2012. He has now spent almost half his career inside the Octagon of the UFC where he has remained undefeated (10-0) with nine of his victories coming by knockout and seven of them taking place within the first round.

With all that he has managed to accomplish in just a short time he is already being considered to be next in line for a title fight with current champion Dominick Cruz after his quick and clean knockout victory over Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 202. Even the fact that Garbrandt and Cruz have been taking some shots at each other lately appears to show that they both are highly interested in facing each other to prove to one another that they are the ‘King of the Bantamweights’.

Looking more closely at the techniques Garbrandt has shown makes perfect sense for him as the next title contender and possibly another great challenge for Cruz with the possibility of giving him an even greater run for his money than T.J. Dillashaw did at UFC Fight Night 81.

Garbrandt has just the necessary speed, striking power and ground game to match that of Cruz to not only help turn the fight into a five round bloody war, but become the new UFC Bantamweight Champion. It would even be great to see just how Cruz will handle the striking power of Garbrandt as well as Garbrandt taking on the extreme ground game of Cruz to make one final statement that he is not only dangerous on his feet, but the ground just as well.

They are almost identical in skills so, why not make this fight happen.

After all, a lot has happened in the UFC lately so anything is possible and therefore there is another great possibility of seeing yet another title change hands.
