Denver Broncos 0-0 AFC West
Carolina Panthers 0-0 NFC South

This isn’t Gary Kubiak first season as head coach for the Denver Broncos. He’s a proven coach in the league and won the Super Bowl in his first season in Denver. I don’t like to talk about old stuff, but I predicted the Broncos will over the Panthers last year. If you take a look at the records, since 2004 the Broncos are 10-2 in opening day games. So, will it be safe to say that team will pull off another opening day win? I’d say, “Yes!” Let’s take a look at the Broncos on both sides of the ball.

Offensive Game Plan
With the ax falling down on Mark Sanchez who eventually was signed by the Cowboys as a back up, Trevor Siemian starts the 2016 NFL campaign under center. Now, me being a former QB and offensive junkie, Trevor Siemian has no worries because he has stars that will carry him. This is a new look offense. I’m not talking about an overhaul, I’m talking about a new quarterback and new starter at running back. And as of today, the Broncos are also going with a new punter.

Defensive Game Plan
The key is stopping Cam Newton! In the Super Bowl, he looked great in the first half. The defense came to life in the second half with a couple of sacks and a key fumble recovery. The defense has to disrupt the leagues reigning MVP (Newton) with aggressive stunts, designed corner blitz and tough pass rushing tactics to keep him uncomfortable. The corner and defensive backs will key in on Kelvin Benjamin who leads the Panthers in every receiving record over the past two years. He’s their threat but the Bronco corners plays big in big games.

Game prediction:
No worries Bronco fans. The Broncos will beat the Panthers by 14. This contest will be a good one. So head the your local supermarket and get Tostitos chips, Velveeta cheese, a can Rotel tomatoes and jalapenos for this one! And to wash it all down with …Coors light and for the non-drinkers and ice cold Coke!
