SURPRISE! SURPRISE! BOOM!
Zia Segule, a Fort Bragg, N.C., soldier, decided to surprise his wife with an early homecoming. Sadly, when the burglar alarm awoke her, she pulled her pistol and shot through the bedroom door, striking her husband in the chest. Fortunately, it was not a deadly wound, and he’s since been released from the hospital.

BOTH ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
The Pinellas County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office paid $1,000 to have two rugs woven in forest green color with the sheriff’s badge and “In God We Trust” on the top. A couple of months later, though, someone noticed the one at the front door had an error. Instead of stating “In God We Trust” it read “In Dog We Trust.”

THIS MIGHT SOBER YOUR THIRST
Nicholas Stewart, 35, was arrested selling fake liter bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey and Smirnoff vodka to tourists for $15 at a slot machine complex in Blackpool, England. A lab analysis found no alcohol in the bottles. Stewart was selling bottles of urine and feces.
